Deezer introduces “Flow Tuner” for easier control over your personalized recommendations

Deezer has announced Flow Tuner, a feature designed to enhance how users interact with the platform's personalized playlist that is created for each individual user based on their listening history, preferences, and habits, aka, “Flow”. Flow Tuner offers a streamlined way to see which genres power your personal Flow, making it clear why certain tracks appear and providing transparency for listeners.

With Flow Tuner, users can instantly toggle genres on or off with a single tap, letting them quickly remove unwanted genres or bring back favorites based on their current mood. This allows for immediate control over both present and future recommendations. Building on this, Flow Tuner also enables the addition of new genres, introducing listeners to unfamiliar artists and musical styles for a broader listening experience.

Alongside genre management, Deezer now allows users to directly search for and select specific genres to fine-tune their recommendations within the Flow feature. In addition, users can add individual songs straight to their Flow queue, so their recommendations reflect unique music tastes. Addressing common pain points, these features help prevent repetitive or off-target recommendations by letting users make real-time adjustments. Flow Tuner promotes both personalized control and music discovery as central parts of the Deezer listening experience.
