Anthropic acquires Vercept to boost Claude's computer use skills

Anthropic has acquired Vercept, aiming to strengthen Claude's computer use by integrating Vercept’s expertise in AI perception and interaction. Vercept will discontinue its standalone product (Vy) as its team joins Anthropic to focus on advancing AI systems that operate within live applications. Alongside this, Claude Sonnet 4.6 recently achieved 72.5% on the OSWorld benchmark, reflecting significant progress in handling complex digital tasks.
