Proton launches Lumo 1.3 with encrypted projects to help you organize your chats
Proton has released version 1.3 of its Lumo privacy-focused AI assistant. This update introduces Projects, an encrypted workspace where users can bundle chats, files, and task requirements. These workspaces sync across every device and session, ensuring continuity no matter the platform.
Within each Project, Lumo now remembers every conversation, file, and instruction. This enables the assistant to maintain context on larger or ongoing tasks, eliminating the need to repeat instructions or details. Users can upload documents and other resources to Projects, allowing Lumo to analyze files or generate insight summaries with greater accuracy and context.
Projects are directly integrated with Proton Drive. This integration allows users to link relevant folders and files to each encrypted workspace, with the assurance that all uploaded content is accessible only to the account holder. Projects are available to all Lumo users, but free accounts are limited to creating one Project.
Consistent with Proton's privacy principles, Lumo never uses user data for AI training, and all chat histories remain protected by zero-access encryption.
