Heroic Games Launcher 2.19 brings Zoom games' integration, DXMT support on macOS, and more

Heroic Games Launcher 2.19, code-named “Punk-01 Shaka”, has been released, introducing experimental support for integrating Zoom platform games on Linux. This feature is currently limited to Linux, but cross-platform support is planned for upcoming releases.

For macOS users, the update brings DXMT functionality to Apple Silicon (M-series) devices, provided Wine-Staging is reinstalled. At the same time, the option to install Steam with a single button on macOS has been removed due to persistent issues. Several configuration options irrelevant for Linux and macOS have also been cleaned up.

On Windows, both the Setup and Portable versions are now digitally signed, enhancing trust and security when installing or updating the launcher. Following these changes, users across all platforms can benefit from a new Launch Options setting, an easier-to-find Import button in the game page, additional Sync-Saves options, and improved accessibility features such as the ability to disable all animations.

Gamepad navigation has been enhanced throughout the interface, while Linux users also receive initial support for AppImage auto-updates and lose the deprecated DXVK Frame Rate option. The backend also sees updates to Electron (now at version 39), and to gogdl and legendary components, addressing bugs related to game listings and updates.
