Forgejo v14.0 adds inline issue search, new file editor, stronger actions trust

Forgejo v14.0 has been released, bringing a set of UI, automation, security, and database updates for self hosted code collaboration. It adds inline filters for issue and pull request search, with in app help and dedicated documentation, while keeping the existing dropdown filters compatible with the new system.

The web file editor switches to CodeMirror instead of Monaco, supporting simpler single file edits and improving performance, accessibility, and mobile usability. More of the web interface works without JavaScript, including posting comments and using expandable menus.

Forgejo Actions adds pull request trust controls so admins can approve once, approve always, deny, and revoke execution when needed. It also fixes a bug that created redundant commit status records and adds a CLI doctor cleanup command with options to tune memory usage and deletion batch sizes. On the security and reliability side, Forgejo validates the SSH authorized_keys file at startup and stops if unexpected keys are found, CSRF protection moves to a stateless approach using browser fetch metadata, and database work reduces deadlocks while introducing some foreign keys with automatic cleanup of inconsistent records during migration.
