You can now instruct Google Photos to edit images for you, powered by Gemini AI

Google is expanding the reach of its conversational editing feature, which debuted on the Pixel 10, to all eligible Android users in the United States. This update makes a key artificial intelligence capability available to a much broader group, beyond those with the latest flagship phones.

With this feature, users can describe the edits they want to make to their photos using either voice input or text. Google Photos then interprets these requests and applies changes using Gemini, the company’s advanced AI model. This approach streamlines editing and makes complex adjustments accessible for a wide range of users.

Following this rollout, users simply need to tap the “Help me edit” button within the Google Photos editor. They can then describe their desired changes or select from AI-powered suggestions, including a quick enhancement by asking to “make it better.” These updates are designed to improve ease of use and give users more control over photo adjustments through natural language interactions.
