Ubuntu Touch 20.04 OTA-10 released with a new upgrader and expanded device support

Ubuntu Touch 20.04 OTA-10 has been released as the newest iteration of this Ubuntu-based mobile operating system. As a maintenance release, OTA-10 brings only minimal changes, reflecting the development team's current focus on upgrading the Ubuntu base operating system.

The most notable enhancement in this update is the introduction of the new Ubuntu Touch upgrader. This tool will allow users to transition from Ubuntu Touch 20.04 to the upcoming Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.0 once it becomes available, preparing devices for future updates and improvements.

Expanding device support, OTA-10 will roll out to a range of devices over the coming days, including the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, F(x)tec Pro1 X, Fairphone 3, 3 Plus and 4, Google Pixel 3a series, JingPad A1, Lenovo Tab M10 HD 2nd Gen, several OnePlus and Volla models, and Xiaomi models. Notably, the Rabbit R1 is newly supported in this release.

For those already using Ubuntu Touch on the stable channel, OTA-10 will appear in the Updates section within system settings.
