PeerTube 7.3 brings email translation, live stream scheduling, and admin UI upgrades
Framasoft has announced PeerTube version 7.3, bringing major upgrades to this open source, decentralized video platform. Among the most noteworthy changes, administrators and users can now send and receive translated email notifications. Previously, all emails were sent exclusively in English. Now, messages can be delivered in any language that PeerTube supports, meeting long-standing requests from non-English user communities.
Additionally, the administrator interface has been significantly overhauled. The previous horizontal menu has been replaced with a side navigation bar. Two new configuration pages — Customisation and Logo — allow for more granular adjustments to instance appearance. A setup wizard now guides administrators through key decisions, such as platform name, description, logo, main color, and more.
Following these interface changes, PeerTube has added a major feature for content creators: live stream scheduling. Admins and users can set start dates and times directly in live stream settings. Scheduled live events will then display their timing clearly on both the event’s own page and each channel’s video list.
Beyond these highlights, PeerTube 7.3 also contains several additional improvements and interface updates, further enhancing platform usability for all users.
