Opera One for iOS adds tab management, group tabs, and quick Aria AI access

Opera has released advanced tab management features for Opera One on iOS, following its earlier Android launch back in May. Users can choose between grid view, which provides visual previews of multiple tabs, and list view, which offers a compact display for handling hundreds of tabs. Layouts can be switched through a new icon in the tab gallery’s bottom bar, while a new search tool with keyword support makes it easier to find specific tabs.

The update also introduces Tab Grouping on both iPhone and iPad, letting users organize tabs into customizable groups with colors and names. Groups can be merged, ungrouped, or closed in bulk, while iPad users gain drag-and-drop support similar to Opera’s Tab Islands on desktop. Users can also swipe in the tab gallery to move between private, regular, and synced tabs, with sync available through an Opera account and the Flow feature.

Opera has repositioned its AI assistant Aria to the bottom bar for quicker access, with enriched answers now available in areas such as recipes, shopping, and gaming. Additional updates include a customizable settings menu, bookmark import from Opera desktop, and planned two-way bookmark syncing in future releases.
