Immich 1.142 brings default beta timeline, resume all button and geolocation timeline view
Immich 1.142 has been released as the newest version of the open source, self-hosted photo and video management platform. In this release, the beta timeline now replaces the legacy timeline as the default version. Upon first launch after updating, the app will automatically run necessary migration steps for users coming from older timelines. After migration, relaunching the app is required to access the updated experience.
Additionally, a new Resume all button appears on the job administration page. This addition is intended for users who import their photo libraries, as jobs are paused during uploads, including background tasks that are not displayed in the main interface. The feature enables users to resume all jobs at once after an import.
Following these updates, the geolocation utility has been transformed into a timeline view. This allows users to scroll through their entire collection while investigating and filling in missing geotagging data for photos and videos in a single workflow. Immich 1.142 also includes a small set of other minor enhancements and applies several bug fixes across the app.
