Rogue Amoeba has announced the release of Fission 2.9, the latest update to their fast and lossless audio editing software designed for macOS users. This update introduces a refreshed interface, featuring an updated app icon tailored for macOS 26 Tahoe. Updates are visible across the Start window, editing window, and batch converter, while the light theme has been revised to emphasize the application’s gold coloring.

Alongside these visual changes, Fission 2.9 adds initial support for macOS 26 Tahoe, and no issues have been reported when running the app on the new operating system so far. Additionally, the release brings improvements aimed at greater accessibility for VoiceOver users, as well as a set of minor bug fixes to enhance stability and usability.
