AliasVault 0.23 released with all-in-one Docker image and mobile app enhancements
AliasVault 0.23 is now available as the latest release of this end-to-end encrypted password and email alias manager. The release introduces a major change for self-hosting: users can now deploy an all-in-one Docker image, which bundles all required components into a single container. This approach lowers the barrier for running AliasVault independently and removes the need to manage multiple containers.
Additionally, the iOS and Android apps now let users adjust password generator settings such as length and complexity directly on their devices. It is also possible to export vault data to CSV from the mobile app, even when offline, ensuring access to credentials during server outages. Input handling on mobile has been refined to deliver smoother touch and trackpad operation across platforms.
Alongside these updates, the project includes user interface and general usability improvements, along with technical enhancements and several bug fixes. AliasVault has also migrated its codebase to a dedicated GitHub organization, and has launched on OpenCollective. This move supports greater openness and community engagement, and makes it easier for users to support the project's ongoing development.
