Xbox Game Pass users on the Core and Standard tiers will gain access to Xbox Cloud Gaming
Xbox Cloud Gaming is now accessible to Game Pass Core and Standard subscribers, removing the previous restriction that required a membership to its most expensive tier, Game Pass Ultimate, allowing a broader range of users to access the game streaming with their most basic plan. They can also stream select individual games they already own, even if those titles are not part of the current subscription library.
These features are currently limited to Xbox Insider participants. Microsoft is also trialing PC games access for Core and Standard subscribers, letting them stream PC versions of supported titles on Windows PCs and handheld devices, expanding usage beyond Xbox consoles.
While Microsoft has previously explored options like a dedicated version or a free ad-supported model for Xbox Cloud Gaming, this update centers on expanding existing tiers and giving subscribers more flexibility.
