Journaling app Day One launches Chrome and Firefox extensions for easier web capture

Automattic has released new browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox for its Day One journaling app. With these extensions, users can capture articles, web highlights, and notes from their web browser and save them directly into Day One.

The extension enables one-click saving of entire web pages, and also allows users to highlight and save sections of text for later reference. It offers options to add notes and tags so that journal entries remain organized and easy to find. Rather than letting content disappear into browser bookmarks, the extension adds saved items to your personal timeline within Day One, providing improved data permanence and easier access.

To support privacy and security, entries saved using the extension are end-to-end encrypted. All content is automatically synced to your Day One account, making it accessible across multiple devices, including macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, Safari, and more.
