Immich 1.137 adds beta timeline improvements, shared link custom URL and large file finder

Immich 1.137 delivers a wide range of updates, focusing on stability and usability for users of this open source, self-hosted photo and video management platform. This release resolves multiple issues in the beta timeline feature, which was first introduced in version 1.136, resulting in closer alignment and feature parity with the previous timeline. This change will benefit users transitioning between versions or relying on consistent timeline performance.

Alongside these timeline improvements, the update introduces an option for custom URLs when generating shared links. While the default long links remain an intentional security measure to prevent unauthorized access, users now have the flexibility to create more readable links when high security is not essential.

Building on better management for self-hosted instances, administrators can now use a new utility to quickly locate large files, simplifying space usage reviews. The update also extends fine-grained permissions to more API endpoints. These detailed access levels now appear in both the auto-generated documentation and the web New API Key form, which now includes a search bar for quicker configuration. Finally, this release also contains several breaking changes as well as other bug fixes and minor enhancements.
