Framer introduces On-Page Editing for live content updates and new CMS page creation

Framer has introduced On-Page Editing, enabling team members to update content directly on the live site from a browser. It works with both static pages and CMS-connected sections, allowing edits to text, images, and component variables. Activating edit mode highlights all editable elements with blue outlines for easy identification.

Users can also create new CMS pages, such as blog posts, case studies, or vacancies, through the Add Page option in the Editor Bar. Rich text fields support advanced formatting and embeds, while hidden fields like SEO descriptions or featured toggles can be accessed via the Show All Fields modal.

Changes sync instantly with the connected Framer project, and once edits are made, collaborators with publishing rights receive a notification to review and approve them before going live. Editing access is limited to site owners and authorized collaborators, while layout templates and overlay elements remain locked. If the Edit button is missing, the issue can often be resolved by republishing the site, adjusting permissions, or correcting the canonical URL settings.
