Floorp Browser 12.0 adds floating Panel Sidebar and native mouse gestures
Floorp Browser 12.0 is now available as a stable release, introducing new features, UI updates, and performance enhancements. The Panel Sidebar now supports a floating mode, expanded add-on compatibility, and a toolbar button to open links in the main browser window. Workspaces gain cross-window synchronization, while Floorp Notes adds a rich text editor and drag-and-drop reordering for easier management.
Native mouse gesture support has been implemented, allowing gestures to perform the same actions as shortcut keys with customizable configurations. A new Floorp Hub centralizes all browser-specific settings, moving them out of Firefox’s preferences page.
Performance updates include better memory handling, faster startup, and improved responsiveness. To simplify the experience, some features have been removed, including dual theme support, vertical tabs, and CSS customization, which is expected to return in a future version.
