CoMaps v2025.08.13-8 improves map design, Android visuals, and iOS language options

CoMaps v2025.08.13-8 brings updates to Android, iOS, and map features. On Android, search category icons, downloader visuals, and intermediate stop colors have been refreshed. Fixes address the Donate button, duplicate OpenStreetMap uploads, and language selection issues, with improved Android Auto search history handling and right-to-left layout support. The project now uses Material Components and a new SDK-based structure.

On iOS, users can set their map language and see items follow the system’s language order. Long translations display better, the post-edit alert has been removed, and authorization checks after editing are streamlined.

General improvements include expanded search abbreviations and aliases, smoother position arrow movements, altitude tracking, and support for Irish postcodes. Bugs affecting roundabout navigation, map colors, and unsupported language searches are resolved. Map visuals have clearer water, waterway, and forest colors, improved labels, green for dog parks, 20-meter contour lines in popular hiking areas, and updated icons for water, parking, amenities, fast food, bicycles, and charging stations.
