Xbox PC app now lets you stream your purchased games, even if they’re not on Game Pass
Microsoft has expanded its 'Stream your own game' feature to the Xbox App on Windows, letting users stream over 250 console games they own via the Xbox Cloud Gaming.
The feature, previously available on consoles, TVs, and browsers, now allows PC users to play console exclusive titles without installing them or needing high-end hardware. Games run directly from Microsoft’s cloud servers, not from a user’s Xbox, making it different from the 'Remote Play' service.
To access it during rollout, users need to join the Xbox Insider Program and PC Gaming Preview, and have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription at $19.99/month. It supports only digital game purchases and is available in 28 countries. Microsoft plans to lift the Insider requirement and expand the game library, aligning with its broader push into PC gaming, including the upcoming Xbox ROG Ally handheld.
