LookAway 1.14 now supports iPhone sync via the new free LookAway Mirror companion app

LookAway 1.14 introduces iPhone sync through a new free companion app, LookAway Mirror, allowing users to block distractions on both Mac and iPhone during scheduled breaks. The update helps enforce more effective downtime by preventing the common habit of switching from Mac to phone.

When a break starts, the iPhone automatically blocks websites, social media, news, and gaming apps, while keeping calls, messages, and emergency services accessible. Syncing works in real-time as long as both devices are online, and doesn’t require them to be on the same network. LookAway Mirror must remain active in the background for enforcement to function properly.

Users can enable push notifications to get alerts when breaks begin, end, or when the Mac is idle. The update supports pairing up to three iPhones to one Mac and five Macs to a single iPhone. Setup takes just four steps, and upcoming features include iPadOS and watchOS support, custom block lists, and break usage stats.
