Infuse 8.2 adds multi-user profiles, iCloud Drive streaming, and AI upscaling

Infuse 8.2 adds support for multiple user profiles on Apple TV, allowing each person to keep custom layouts, watch history, ratings, parental controls, and Trakt.tv accounts. Profiles can sync across devices via individual iCloud accounts. Manual profile switching from tvOS 18 remains, while tvOS 26, coming this fall, will prompt users to choose a profile when waking Apple TV.

The update also enables streaming directly from iCloud Drive, eliminating the need for local storage. Although Apple TV doesn’t support browsing iCloud Drive, Infuse users can add direct file links to the 'Links' section for access across devices.

PRO users now see Metacritic ratings alongside TMDB and Trakt.tv scores. Enhanced AI upscaling improves video quality on large screens, with limited support on current Apple TV 4K models. Full features require an A16 chip or newer, with better performance expected on future Apple TVs.
