GitHub Copilot Coding Agent brings multi-agent automation to Visual Studio Code

GitHub Copilot Coding Agent is now integrated directly with Visual Studio Code, enabling users to assign issues and manage pull requests through the sidebar. Multiple agents can operate simultaneously, each in isolated dev environments, allowing for parallel development. Developers can view real-time updates and replay agent sessions using the new 'Copilot on My Behalf' section.

The feature is currently available in public preview.
