Microsoft Store gets personalized recommendations, smarter search and performance upgrades
Microsoft has announced upgrades to the Microsoft Store experience, starting with a personalized homepage that adapts recommendations to each user. These suggestions reflect recent activity, local trends, and current offers, and users retain control through their Store settings. Alongside this, Store search is now faster and more intelligent, enabling quicker discovery of apps and games.
Users in the United States will notice Copilot appearing in the Store interface to answer questions during product browsing. The addition of a new “Discover More” section on product pages brings related suggestions to aid app and game exploration. Further refining selection, new badges now denote which apps feature artificial intelligence technology or are optimized for Copilot+ PCs.
Expanding integration across Windows, users can now install Store apps and games directly from Windows Search — reducing the steps needed to get started. Microsoft is also experimenting with suggesting relevant apps when users attempt to open unsupported file extensions or when no default app is set. Rounding out the update, the Microsoft Store itself now launches up to two times faster, improving the overall performance for all users.
