Markdown note-taking app Bear launches Callouts to highlight key information in notes

Bear, the Markdown note-taking application for iOS and macOS, has released version 2.4.5 with a new feature called Callouts. This new tool lets users highlight important information within their notes using clean, colorful blocks designed to make details stand out.

With Callouts, users can choose from five styles based on context: note for general context, tip for smart advice, important to flag essential information, warning to issue alerts, and caution for highlighting risks or negative outcomes. These options provide flexibility for organizing class notes, marking critical steps in tutorials, or ensuring crucial reminders are visible.

Building on this functionality, Callouts also support rich text formatting and allow the addition of custom titles. Users can even create Callouts that display only a title for concise emphasis. Beyond these features, Bear 2.4.5 also brings several other enhancements and bug fixes, improving overall app performance and stability.
