Inoreader adds groupable & sharable spotlights, and improved annotations system
Inoreader has rolled out new upgrades to streamline content organization and collaboration. Spotlights, the smart feature for auto-highlighting keywords, now allow users to group related terms and assign a shared color, making it easier to identify key content quickly. In addition, teams can now share spotlights, enabling members to focus on collective priorities and collaborate more effectively. These spotlight enhancements are accessible to all users, including those on the free plan.
Additionally, Inoreader has reworked its annotation system. Annotations are now split into two clear categories: highlights for simply marking text, and notes for adding comments on full articles or specific highlights. This separation clarifies whether users are underlining content or providing additional insight. When you highlight text in an article, a new menu provides control over your actions, enabling you to add notes, edit, or delete highlights as needed.
These enhanced spotlights and highlights features are also available in Inoreader’s mobile apps, starting with version 7.9.1 for both iOS and Android.
