Cursor 1.0 adds BugBot code reviews, project 'Memories', and Background Agent

Cursor 1.0 has just been released, introducing features focused on improving code review, task automation, and project context. BugBot now handles automatic code reviews on GitHub pull requests, flagging issues and adding comments. Developers can click “Fix in Cursor” to open the editor with a pre-filled prompt to resolve the issue.

The Background Agent, now available to all users, runs remote coding tasks and supports multi-cell edits in Jupyter Notebooks using Sonnet models. Cursor also adds a beta version of “Memories,” which saves project-specific facts from conversations for later use. It can be enabled in Settings under Rules.

The update also brings one-click setup for MCP servers with OAuth support, plus easier integration options for developers. Conversations now support inline Mermaid diagrams and Markdown tables. Settings and Dashboard pages have been redesigned, offering detailed usage analytics by tool, model, user, and team, along with the ability to update display names.
