Vivaldi 7.4 adds per-site keyboard shortcuts, smarter address bar, and other enhancements

The Vivaldi team has released version 7.4 of the powerful and customizable web browser. This update introduces a major new feature: users can now customize keyboard shortcuts on a per-site basis, allowing greater control over their workflows. This update enables users to choose whether Vivaldi’s shortcuts or those defined by individual web pages take priority, enhancing usability for advanced browsing scenarios.

Alongside this, the address bar has received several upgrades. The browser now offers a smarter, faster, and more consistent address bar experience. Users can also increase the number of items shown in the address bar dropdown, with up to 42 results now visible, catering to those who regularly access a large number of sites or manage extensive browsing histories.

Building on the theme of usability improvements, Vivaldi 7.4 features a streamlined profile picker that speeds up profile selection and reduces visual clutter, which is especially helpful for those managing multiple profiles. Settings have been reorganized for easier navigation and clarity, assisting both new and existing users in configuring the browser to their preference. Rounding out this release, the windows and history panels present a lighter and more intuitive design. Behind the scenes, users also benefit from improved stability, better performance, and various minor enhancements and bug fixes.

Vivaldi has the best site tiling and default weather in my opinion. As someone who likes to script, per-site keyboard shortcuts sounds very interesting.
