Logic Pro brings enhanced Stem Splitter, Flashback Capture & new sound packs to Mac & iPad
Apple has released some exciting Logic Pro updates for both Mac and iPad, focusing on music production and beat making. The upgraded Stem Splitter now extracts greater detail from recordings, allowing users to isolate guitar and piano stems in addition to existing options. Producers can select common stem variations, such as a capella or instrumental with vocals, using new presets. The addition of a submix export feature also lets creators isolate and export specific audio components with ease.
Alongside these audio advancements, the new Flashback Capture tool enables artists to recover MIDI and audio performances even if they forgot to start recording. Quick restoration is possible via a key command or custom control bar button. When using Cycle mode, musicians can improvise multiple takes, and Flashback Capture will group each pass in a dedicated take folder for easy review.
Additionally, Logic Pro introduces fresh sound packs including Dancefloor Rush, Magnetic Imperfections, and Tosin Abasi. On iPad, the update brings Learn MIDI, letting users map external MIDI device controls to software parameters directly from their device. Supplementary improvements include notepad integration of Writing Tools powered by Apple Intelligence and a large-project search and select feature to aid in managing complex sessions.
