Anthropic adds web search for real-time answers and code support to Claude API
Anthropic has enabled web search in its API, allowing Claude to deliver responses based on current online information. Claude now decides autonomously when searches are needed and cites sources, with domain controls available for developers.
The feature is also available in Claude Code, enabling developers to access current API documentation, technical articles, and information on development tools and libraries.
