All Day One users can now create and share unlimited journals, with name suggestions
Day One users now have the ability to create unlimited journals without needing a premium upgrade, opening up expanded organizational options for reflections, travel logs, milestone tracking, or managing different life areas. All users can now keep as many separate journals as they wish, a core feature that was previously gated.
Following this change, Automattic has refreshed the journal creation process. The updated flow introduces journal name suggestions inspired by how people commonly use Day One. This new onboarding experience aims to help users discover additional ways to journal, such as themed writing, project documentation, or specific memory collecting.
In addition, shared journals are now available to everyone. This enables users to collaboratively create and contribute entries with friends, family, or teammates, whether planning trips, documenting group projects, or reflecting together.
Premium subscribers continue to have benefits beyond unlimited journals, such as unlimited photo and video attachments, multi-device synchronization, audio recording, and transcription support. These premium offerings provide advanced media management and workflow capabilities for users needing greater flexibility.
