Web browser Midori now integrates an ad blocker, a VPN service, & an update search engine
Astian has launched version 11.5.2 of its Midori web browser for both desktop and Android platforms. This update introduces an integrated ad blocker named Astian Privacy, designed to block ads on platforms like YouTube and across the web, thereby improving loading speeds and enhancing user privacy by reducing digital footprints. This ad blocker is also available for Firefox users.
In addition, Astian's search engine, AstianGO, has shifted from using the Bing API to developing its own index, incorporating AI for enhanced functionality. Midori also now includes Astian VPN, leveraging the WireGuard protocol to bolster user privacy, with plans to support additional protocols in the future.
The update also features improvements to Midori's user interface, better cookie management, and enhanced DOM administration. Furthermore, Midori is now compatible with Intel processors.
