Vector & raster editor Graphite introduces many new node tools and other enhancements

Graphite, an online vector editor and procedural design tool, has announced its latest update, featuring a range of new functionalities and enhancements. Key additions include node graph support for custom node creation, expanded text controls, and pinnable node sections in the Properties panel. The update introduces several new nodes, such as Offset Path, Flatten Vector Elements, Bevel, Jitter Points, and more, enhancing vector manipulation capabilities. It also adds support for Fill and Stroke nodes with groups, and introduces a Switch node for routing data connections based on boolean values.

Additional features include node insertion and layer renaming directly from the Properties panel, enhanced path tool functionalities, and a revamped node graph control bar. The update improves the Freehand tool for drawing subpaths and introduces new menu bar options for layer management. The Select tool now allows for subtracting targeted layers from the active selection, and the Path tool supports snapping to 15° increments. Style improvements to the Layers panel UI and revamped quick measurement overlays are also part of the update, alongside numerous other improvements and bug fixes.
