DaVinci Resolve 20 has been launched with over new 100 features and new AI-Powered tools

Blackmagic Design has released DaVinci Resolve 20, the latest version of its video editing software available in both free and paid versions, introducing over 100 new features along with several new advanced AI tools. Among them is AI IntelliScript, which automatically generates a timeline from the original script by aligning transcribed audio and organizing selected takes, while placing alternative takes on additional tracks for easy review.

Another significant AI tool is AI Set Extender, which allows users to create scene extensions or generate new backgrounds simply by using text prompts. Alongside it, AI Audio Assistant enables users to produce a professional audio mix with a single click, while AI Detect Music Beats analyzes music tracks and automatically places markers to highlight beats. Other AI-powered features include AI Animated Subtitles, AI Multicam SmartSwitch, and more.

The update also adds support for Apple Immersive Video editing on Apple Vision Pro, making it easier to work with URSA Cine Immersive footage while also enhancing Blackmagic Cloud collaboration tools and optimizing vertical video workflows. It introduces a dedicated keyframe editor, a new Text+ tool, and direct voiceover recording, alongside a chroma warp function on the color page for easier color and saturation adjustments. On the Fairlight audio page, users can match audio to reference clips, apply dynamic EQ for consistent tonality, and maintain stable levels across a timeline.

DaVinci Resolve 20 is available as a free public beta, with the Studio version priced at $295 and no subscription required.
