Wine 10.3 maintenance update adds Wayland clipboard support, Vulkan video decoding & more
The Wine compatibility layer has released its third maintenance update for the stable 10.x series, Wine 10.3. This update brings several enhancements, including clipboard support for Wayland, which improves usability for modern Linux desktop environments. Additionally, initial support for Vulkan video decoding has been integrated into WineD3D, enhancing video playback performance for Direct3D applications.

Wine 10.3 addresses 18 bugs, including a critical fix for Unreal Engine games to correctly detect the necessary VC runtime registry key, solving launch failures. A startup issue causing Steam.exe to hang has been resolved, along with a startup failure affecting Quicken 2004.
