Twilio integrates ElevenLabs' AI voice tech into its platform for AI customer interactions

Twilio has announced that it is integrating ElevenLabs' advanced AI voice technology into its Communication Platform as a Service (CPaaS) to enhance the capabilities of ConversationRelay. This integration enables businesses and developers to create more natural and expressive AI-driven voice interactions for customer service, as ElevenLabs’ AI voices adapt to context, sentiment, and pacing, offering a more human-like experience than traditional text-to-speech solutions.

With model latency as low as 75 milliseconds, the integration supports real-time, dynamic conversations. Twilio ConversationRelay users can now generate speech that adjusts tone and emotion based on the interaction, offering low-latency synthesis for smoother communication. The technology also allows for fine-tuning of voice output for multilingual applications and industry-specific needs.
