SystemRescue 12 released with Linux kernel 6.12, Bcachefs support, and more

SystemRescue, a Linux system rescue toolkit, has released version 12, featuring significant enhancements and updates. A major upgrade in this release is the transition to the LTS Linux kernel version 6.12.19.

A key highlight is the native support for Bcachefs, a modern copy-on-write file system, now integrated with the necessary kernel module, file system tools, and GParted. The disk utilities have been updated, including GParted 1.7.0, nwipe 0.38, and dump 0.4b49.

Additionally, a workaround has been implemented to prevent potential display glitches in GRUB. This version also includes Xfce 4.20 as the desktop environment, along with numerous other updated packages. Further details can be found on the official release page.
