Reddit implements warnings for upvoting violent content

Reddit is introducing a new enforcement action aimed at users who upvote content that violates the site's policies. Historically, only users who posted such content were penalized, but now, Reddit will start issuing warnings to users who upvote banned content, beginning with violent materials.

While currently limited to warnings, Reddit may expand enforcement actions in the future to ensure a healthier site ecosystem.

kinda stuff, that you'd expected from liberal, progressive lunatics. Just give it the time and the whole reddit commando will cease to their holes.

I have left Reddit since the Big API drama and wish everyone did the same... It was such a great open plateform that have been restricting more and more like all modern plateforms

Same here, but not only because of the API price change (you can still use your own API key to access Reddit, at least on Android), but also because every subreddit has deteriorated significantly. Everywhere you go, you're bombarded with political propaganda. For example, if you like Linux and go to a Linux subreddit to ask a question, someone will cleverly twist the conversation to be about politics. The sad part is, they often get a ton of upvotes (true story). This is sad because every social media platform is like this now(with AI slop). Right now, I only use forums, and if I need something from Reddit or have a problem, I use Perplexity AI which is very good.
