Play's new Xcode export feature simplifies App Store submissions and iOS integration

Play Design has introduced a direct export feature to Xcode, simplifying the process of submitting projects to the Apple App Store. This integration allows users to access advanced iOS functionalities, including gyroscope, haptics, and location services.

The PlaySDK supports iOS 17.4 and higher, compatible with devices as old as the iPhone 11. The export package includes an Xcode project configured to render Play designs with a single command, and a Swift Package containing all necessary assets and components.

The Play to Xcode feature ensures that designs are converted into native iOS code, maintaining full functionality and logic. Users can select specific assets for export, and real data can be integrated via JSON files or APIs. AI-driven features are supported through API integrations like OpenAI. The platform supports both SwiftUI and UIKit, facilitating easy integration with existing projects. Currently, in open beta, Play to Xcode is free, with future pricing tiers planned.
