Minecraft to launch major graphical upgrade with realistic lighting & enhanced graphics
Minecraft is poised for a significant graphical transformation with the upcoming Vibrant Visuals update. This enhancement will introduce realistic lighting effects, allowing sunlight to filter through trees and windows, and shadows to shift dynamically with the sun's position, enriching the game's immersive experience.
Water bodies will boast improved reflections, and a new volumetric fog system will add atmospheric depth to distant areas. Underwater environments will receive visual upgrades, while caves will become darker and more eerie, featuring glowing light sources and intimidating mobs with glowing eyes.
Currently being tested for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, the Vibrant Visuals update is expected to be released soon, with Java Edition players to receive it in the near future. Players will have the option to toggle between the new graphics and the classic look. The update was officially announced at Minecraft Live, where a comparison video was shown to highlight the graphical improvements.
