Mastodon client Tusky 28 brings Android 15 support, improved notifications, and more
Tusky, a lightweight Android client for Mastodon, has released version 28, introducing several new features and improvements. This update includes support for Android 15 and edge-to-edge mode, enhancing the app's compatibility and user interface. Push notifications have been made more reliable, and replies in timelines are now clearly marked by a text indicator.
Link preview cards have been redesigned and now include support for the fediverse:creator feature. Users can select from a range of mute durations, including 1 hour, 6 hours, 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, and 180 days. The rendering of trending tags has also seen improvements.
Database queries will no longer occur on the main thread, which enhances performance. Additionally, the wellbeing mode will no longer hide the “follows you” badge on profiles. Users can now select boost visibility when the “Show confirmation before boosting” option is active.
Version 28 also enhances the rendering of notifications in the notifications tab and addresses several significant bugs, contributing to a smoother user experience.
