Google unveils Gemini 2.5 Pro, a leap in AI for complex reasoning tasks & coding abilities

Google has announced the release of Gemini 2.5, the latest addition to its Gemini family. This version, dubbed Gemini 2.5 Pro Experimental, represents Google's most advanced model for handling complex tasks. It has achieved top rankings on the LMArena leaderboard, which assesses human preferences, highlighting its superior capabilities and high-quality style.

Gemini 2.5 Pro demonstrates strong reasoning and coding abilities, excelling in coding, math, and science benchmarks. It features a 1 million token context window, with plans to expand to 2 million tokens soon. This enhancement allows the model to process vast datasets and tackle complex problems using diverse information sources, including text, audio, images, video, and entire code repositories.

Available now in Google AI Studio and the Gemini app for Gemini Advanced users, Gemini 2.5 Pro will soon be accessible on Vertex AI. Google plans to introduce pricing in the coming weeks, allowing users to leverage higher rate limits for scaled production use.
