Apple Music expands DJ integration with popular DJ software and hardware platforms
Apple Music has expanded its integration with the DJ community, allowing subscribers to access its extensive catalog of over 100 million songs for mixing and creating sets. This integration includes major DJ platforms such as AlphaTheta's rekordbox and Serato, as well as hardware brands like Denon DJ, Numark, and RANE DJ. This follows Algoriddim's djay app, which incorporated Apple Music last year.
With this update, rekordbox users on iPhone and iPad can now directly access Apple Music's catalog for their performances. Additionally, Apple has introduced the "DJ with Apple Music" program, aiming to attract more DJ platforms in the future. A dedicated page offers DJ-friendly editorial playlists and resources.
Stephen Campbell, Apple Music's Global Head of Dance, Electronic & DJ Mixes, emphasized the company's commitment to supporting DJs, noting that this integration enhances the DJing experience with real-time access and music discovery.

Apple Music is going to kill Spotify. And honestly, Spotify should shut up. Sure, the 30% Apple tax is anticompetitive, but Spotify is not as innovative as its competitors. I love the AI generated playlists and the app design, but I feel like I'm missing out on so many cool features, as my favorite genres are kinda niche. Spotify is going to die if they continue ignoring this.
