Opera's new shortcut: right-click to analyze images with Aria AI

Opera has introduced a new shortcut for its Aria AI, enabling users to right-click on any image and send it directly for analysis. This update removes the need for manual uploads, streamlining the process to just two clicks without saving the image to a device.

Initially launched in May 2024 for Opera Developer as part of the AI Feature Drops program, the Image Understanding feature is now being gradually integrated into Opera One and Opera for Android.

To use this feature, users simply right-click an image and select “Send image to Aria AI,” which opens a chat with the image pre-attached. A default prompt, "Hey Aria! What’s in this image?" is provided, though it can be customized for specific inquiries. Opera designed this tool to help users quickly obtain context and answers to questions images might raise.
