Opera releases first Opera Air update with new language options and a progress indicator

Opera has announced the first update for its recently launched mindful web browser, Opera Air. This update introduces new language options for voice guides and subtitles, alongside a progress indicator for its Take a Break feature.

The Take a Break feature, designed to integrate mindfulness exercises directly into the browser's sidebar, now offers voice guidance in German, Polish, and Brazilian Portuguese, in addition to English. These exercises are narrated by real voice actors rather than AI. Opera plans to expand language options further in future updates.

Users can now customize subtitles, choosing from 44 language options and selecting from four different font sizes. Additionally, a new progress indicator has been added to breathing exercises, guided meditations, and full body scans, displaying how much of the session has elapsed and how much remains. This feature is intentionally designed without rewind or fast-forward options, encouraging users to stay present during their breaks.

These updates were influenced — in part — by user feedback, aiming to enhance accessibility and usability of the Opera Air browser.
