openSUSE has released its latest monthly update for the rolling-release Linux distribution, openSUSE Tumbleweed. This update introduces the Linux 6.13 kernel and sets SELinux as the default Linux Security Module for new installations, including the minimalVM variant, with AppArmor still available as an option.

The release features a major update to the Mesa 3D graphic library, now at version 25.0, alongside software updates such as GIMP 3.0.0 RC3, PostgreSQL 17.3, Ruby 3.4.2, WirePlumber 0.5.8, cURL 8.12.1, and GStreamer 1.24.12.

KDE Plasma 6.3 brings enhancements in fractional scaling, a refined zoom effect, and updated drawing tablet settings. Additionally, KDE Gear 24.12.2 improves usability, GDB 15.2 boosts debugging efficiency, and Fwupd advances firmware update handling. The update also addresses critical security vulnerabilities with OpenSSL 3.4.1 and includes various minor enhancements and bug fixes.
