OpenProject 15.3 has been released with an option to schedule recurring meetings
OpenProject has rolled out version 15.3 of its open source project management software, introducing significant updates to the meetings' module. Users can now create recurring meetings, enhancing the organization of regular appointments. This update allows users to set up a meeting template and define a schedule, such as daily or weekly, with OpenProject automatically generating future meetings. The new structure replaces the previous dynamic meetings with options for recurring and one-time meetings.
Recurring meetings appear under a new section called Meeting series in the left side menu, where users can toggle between upcoming and past meetings. The default view shows upcoming meetings, categorized into Open and Planned. OpenProject also facilitates agenda preparation by opening the next meeting's agenda as soon as the current one starts, allowing users to add agenda items in real-time.
The OpenProject team is also preparing for a future update that will include agenda item outcomes, enabling users to take minutes, note decisions, and create follow-up work packages directly from meeting agenda items.
