Journaling app Day One launches Windows version in beta testing

Day One, a popular journaling app, has expanded its platform reach with the announcement of a new Windows app. Previously accessible via the web, macOS, iOS, and Android, the app now caters to Windows users as well.

The Windows version is developed using Electron, offering the flexibility of the web version while incorporating key native features. Users can expect native Windows menus, keyboard shortcuts, drag-and-drop media uploads, and both dark and light mode options. The app also ensures seamless syncing of journal entries across all your devices.

During the limited launch period, free users can access the Windows app without it affecting their device limit. Additionally, interested users can join Day One's beta testing program for early access prior to the official release.

I’m old enough to remember when they said the ability to import Wordpress journals into DayOne was on the roadmap. At some point a few years ago they scrubbed any mention of it from their sites and documentation. I don’t understand it. It can't be that hard to export a WP and import to DO, especially under the same umbrella company now. I would happily move my free WP diary to a DO paid subscription. Guess they don’t want my money.
