Immich 1.126 released with enhanced search, geo grouping, improved sharing features & more

Immich, a self-hosted photo and video management solution, has launched version 1.126, featuring multiple updates and bug fixes. The release enhances the search functionality, allowing users to search by tag on the web and description on both web and mobile platforms. Future updates promise even more robust search capabilities.

In the detail location view, users can now group photos and videos by country, offering a geographic perspective on their media. Additionally, the update introduces a feature to mark people as favorites, ensuring they appear first on the list.

The album sharing interface has also been improved to display information about created shared links, with new filtering options for individual or album shares. Users can also enable a quick access button for shared links in the sidebar through the Account Setting Features section.

Additionally, a critical bug fix addresses an issue where the database timezone was misinterpreted as an invalid date in JavaScript. The update also includes various other enhancements, bug fixes, improved documentation, and updated translations.
