Google Gemini AI can now recall past conversation threads for enhanced response accuracy

Google has announced a new feature for its AI service, Gemini, allowing it to recall past chats to enhance response accuracy. This update enables users to reference previous discussions or request summaries without needing to search for old conversation threads. Users can continue building on past projects or conversations seamlessly.

Control over chat history is maintained, as users can review, delete, or set retention preferences for their chat data. Additionally, the Gemini Apps Activity can be disabled via the My Activity settings. When past chats inform responses, Gemini may indicate this in its sources and related content.

Initially available in English for Gemini Advanced subscribers through the Google One AI Premium Plan, the feature is accessible via the web and mobile app. Google plans to expand the rollout to more languages and to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise customers in the coming weeks.
