Cryptomator 1.15 brings a redesigned UI, an improved AppImage, and other enhancements

Cryptomator has launched version 1.15 of its encryption desktop application, bringing a redesigned user interface, new features, and enhancements. The main window now integrates more seamlessly with system design, improving navigation and accessibility of essential functions. A compact view option for the vault list is now available in settings, showing only vault names, which is beneficial for users managing multiple vaults.

The AppImage no longer requires libfuse, making it fully self-contained and compatible with nearly all Linux systems. Additionally, Cryptomator now utilizes system certificate stores on macOS and Windows, or a custom PKCS12 file on Linux, for HTTPS connections, enhancing compatibility with enterprise environments that use custom certificates.

Read-only vaults are now clearly indicated, with a retry option available in read-only mode, improving transparency and access to files in restricted settings. The application is now also available in Uyghur. This update addresses several bugs and includes additional changes and improvements.
